You Know

This is a video I can't get enough of.
You Know by Super Jupiter:

It reminds me both of Datarock's Computer Camp Love

-and To My Boy's Model

Galvanode #1

So I love sharing awesome pictures, but I decided I need to share them at quicker rate. Five at a time seems like a nice number. Sometimes they'll have themes, sometimes they won't.

He Doesn't Know Why

Fleet Foxes just put up a video for their song He Doesn't Know Why

SHEMPI

RATATAT's new video for SHEMPI, an ABBA remake.

Chairman Miaow

Don't talk to Chinese people about the election. It gets awkward quickly.

Dear Wizards

Dear mystical wizards of the internet, I realize one of you must have deleted my post "Never Miss A Beat". Instead of making it suddenly vanish, you could have told me what I have done wrong, asked me to change the problem, and I could have maintained the elements of the posts deemed acceptable to the wizarding kingdom.

Brandon Bird

Brandon Bird paints and draws pop surrealistic pieces often involving celebrities. Up top you have "Lazy Sunday Afternoon", which depicts Christopher Walken creating Optimus Prime. Really, who can resist pieces with titles such as "No One Wants To Play Sega With Harrison Ford"?

-And be sure to flip a few pages of the Law & Order Coloring Book, as seen on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Into The Galaxy

Now, I know this Midnight Juggernauts video is a bit old, but it would be a shame if not everyone has seen it in such bold visual splendor. HERE

And for those of you who haven't seen the original version:

Into The Galaxy Video

Animal House Party

I thought this was appropriate as the election coverage red-lines.

Olympic Airways

Good song by the great band Foals, too bad the audio quality is horrible.

4.9.08

Industrial City

Sorry for the lack of music, I've been distracted, or something.

30.8.08

Forrest

I saw this and just thought of that Friendly Fires album cover. It's a sculpture by Michel de Broin called Superficial.

28.8.08

Molten Light

Both the audio and visuals were done by Chad VanGalen, so the video is the complete vision of the artist.

26.8.08

Sophisticated Side Ponytail

Natalie Portman's Shaved Head new video for Sophisticated Side Ponytail, off their new album Glistening Pleasure.

The music sounds like a catchy SNL parody, but instead, the whole production is tongue-in-cheek. That's a lot of hours in after effects. Is that why it's only 1:32? Damn it's catchy.

Skeletal Lamping

A brand new of Montreal song gives a taste of what their eclectic new album Skeletal Lamping will sound like. This tune seems to keeps you guessing even more than songs from their previous album.

Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror make music that I can only think to call "theatrical wizard prog rock". Their smokey mysticism can be smelled from untold fathoms. Their sound has already been compared to Pink Floyd and MGMT.

Mirror Mirror has recently released a New Horizons 7" which also includes the song Lock Up Your Sons. Their full length debut album The Society for the Advancement of Inflammatory Consciousness is dropping September 16.

You can read about their concept behind the debut album, why it's not going to be their "breakthough", and also "sex magicians", in this interview.

Steel Train on Conan

Steel Train put on a spastic performance of their song I Feel Weird the other night on Conan to promote their new album Trampoline:

An absolutely free MP3 of the song is available here.

18.7.08

Friendly Fires

Friendly Fires are about to drop their self titled debut album. What I've heard from them so far is a Cut Copy with Peruvian beats. As with Late Of The Pier, They'll be playing an album release party at PureGroove. About it being self titled they said, "I figure when it's your first album, it's allowed. It's the only time that you're allowed to do it. You're only allowed to be lazy once - we're allowed to be lazy this time." Get the garage produced album September 1st.

Dan Has Potential

"Dan Has Potential" is a totally wacked-out 26 year old artist from the UK. His body of work predominantly are experiments in basic line and color, to great success.

He also does work directing music videos. He has directed the Late Of The Pier Song "Bathroom Gurgle", as well as directing the Metronomy song Radio Ladio:
